KBOO is proud to sponsor two special Black History events at Portland State University, on Thursday February 21st featuring east coast emcee, educator and community organizer Hasan Salaam. First is a multi-media presentation on the history of Black music titled, “ From Spiritual to Hip Hop. “ this will take place at Noon at the Smith Memorial Union on the 2nd floor. The second event is a hip hop show with local progressive artists, Siren’s Echo and March 4th. This will happen at 7pm at the Food For Thought Café in the basement of the Smith Memorial Union.

U of O President Michael Gottfredson has made the decsion to gut it's formerr minority office of Instituional Equity and Diversity, including Eugene's Native American, African American and Hispanic department leaders!!!
Dr Tom Ball and Dr. Alison Ball were victims of the Natives programs cuts, a long with 2 other Vice Presidents of the Latino and African American university communities.
They will all be replaced by Dr. Yvette Alex-Assensoh, who cannot replace the role of all three of these proven leaders at the U of O.

PM at the Milwaukie Lutheran Church, 3810 SE Lake Road, Milwaukie, Oregon.
This is a FREE and family friendly concert and will include a bake sale of sweet &
savory goodies. The four performing choirs are: Portland Peace Choir, In Accord, Rogue
Valley Peace Choir and the Eugene Peace Choir.
