Pacific Northwest Social Forum, a convergence of people's movements in the Pacific Northwest

Hosts Celeste Carey and Cecil Prescod speak with Dione Johnson-Tyson of the Multi-Media Center (Oakland & Seattle) and Edgar Franks of Community to Community/Comunidad a Comunidad in Bellingham, Washington. They will talk about the Pacific NW Social Forum (PNWSF) coming up this weekend.

PNWSF is not a conference, it is a convergence of people's movements who's primary work & struggles take place in Northern California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Hawaii & Alaska to build solidarity and unified action toward social, economic and environmental justice in the Pacific NW.

The conference will include a People's Movement Assembly (PMA) that will create & propose a Pacific NW People's Agenda for Action.

Learn about each others struggles and connect to each others campaigns with the goal of mutual support and building toward a powerful movement for social justice in the Pacific NW.

Events include:

     Friday September 26th, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm: Benefit Concert with Mic Crenshaw and Friends. Will benefit the Social Forum and the Burundi Computer Center supported by Global Fam. 
     Saturday, September 27th 9:00am to 9:00pm: People's Movement Assemblies and Developing our Pacific NW Plan of Action Together.
     Sunday, September 28th 12:00-2:00: Taking Direct Action Together for Social, Economic and Climate/Environmental Justice- location to be determined.
