Grateful Dead & Friends on 05/05/12
If you have ever caught Grateful Dead and Friend's Rolling Thunder Review (Matt Smith), or Begonia Studios Presents (Duane Goslar), you know that during the first half hour or so, you might hear just about anything. On May 5th from noon `til four o'clock, Matt and Duane will broadcast a program titled Rolling Begonias All Night Flight special. Originally, "All Night Flight" was the title of an underground radio show that aired in the mid to late sixties. Starting in 1984, Begonia Studios adapted the All Night Flight title for a series of recordings that invited the listener to "find the common thread" that connected the songs and material together. Matt Smith listened to the tapes and suggested that the concept be taken to the next level by employing two "All Night Flighters" encouraging listeners to find that common thread (although sometimes the common thread is that there isn't a common thread). The result of that thinking is this four hour special that will provide more than enough Good Old Grateful Dead to keep the Dead Head community dancing, as well as other thought provoking music and content to keep the listener guessing. So tune in on Saturday May 5th at noon for the Grateful Dead and Friends Rolling Begonias All Night Flight Special and find the common thread, and tell a friend!!!!
