After a pretty illustrious career in jazz, including playing with sax great David Liebman, Scott Cutshall put away his drums for the love of raising his daughter and stabilizing a home and his own health.... For 15 years...
Now, fortunately for jazz lovers here in the NW especially, he has stabilized in our beautiful "little" town, enough, apparently, to play, blowing the dust off his beloved drums and create adventurous music once again. Resurfacing last June with John Gross in a stunning performance at THE CREATIVE MUSIC GUILD's 2nd Annual IMPROVISATION SUMMIT of PORTLAND, Cutshall feels the warm blood of jazz coursing through his veins again and we are fortunate to have him swing into the KBOO STUDIOS for an after-hours set
with bassist ANDREW WILHITE and tenor saxophonist IAN CHRISTIANSON.
