Portland Public Schools has two bond measures on the May ballot. One would provide funds to update and renovate Portland's aging public school facilities, while the other would provide funds to prevent teacher layoffs and preserve vulnerable programs. Abe and Joe dig into the two measures, and discuss the long chain of events and priorities that have led us to the point where the schools must go begging to taxpayers in order to keep paying teachers.
