Jim Hightower and Ralph Nader on Occupy Wall Street and the Occupy Movement

Guest Jim Hightower, national radio commentator, writer, public speaker, and author of the book, "Swim Against The Current: Even A Dead Fish Can Go With The Flow, talks about the Occupy movement across the country and about the We the People Movement, which reminds us that 'the Constitution plainly says "We the People," not We the Corporations.'

And later, Ralph Nader, consumer advocate, lawyer, author and former Presidential candidate, also talks about the Occupy Wall Street.

Jim Hightower has spent three decades battling the Powers That Be on behalf of the Powers That Ought To Be - consumers, working families, environmentalists, small businesses, and just-plain-folks. Each month, he publishes a populist political newsletter, "The Hightower Lowdown" which has received both the Alternative Press Award and the Independent Press Association Award for best national newsletter.

Ralph Nader was named by The Atlantic as one of the 100 most influential figures in American history, and by Time and Life magazines as one of the hundred most influential Americans of the twentieth century, his documented criticism of government and industry has had widespread effect on public awareness and bureaucratic power. He is the "U.S.'s toughest customer" says Time magazine. His inspiration and example have galvanized a whole population of consumer advocates, citizen activists, and public interest lawyers who in turn have established their own organizations throughout the country.
