Did you know that Congress designated Martin Luther King Day as a Day of Service? It's an opportunity to make it a Day On. http://www.mlkday.gov/

«Living the Dream», an annual drum major ecumenical service, will be presented on Sunday 3pm, honoring the accomplishments of community members whose work reflect the legacies of Rosa Parks and the King Family. The service and community awards will be held at Vancouver Ave. First Baptist Church, and free will offering suppports the drum major scholarship program.  Drum over to http://vancouveravechurch.org/
 
Portland State University and the Multicultural Center will host a week of events, commemorating the legacy of Dr. King, including a day of service on Monday, Conversation with Oregon Black Leaders on Tuesday, and a documentary film on Friday. Check out the PSU website at http://www.pdx.edu/
On Monday, KBOO will simulcast the «Keep Alive the Dream» 25th anniversary event, including performances by several choirs. You tune in at http://kboo.fm/ or join us in person at Highland Christian Center. http://www.wafinc.org/
