Interview with Connie Sue Martin and Rick Williams

Something so positive has come from an event so tragic. John T. Williams (left) was shot to death by Seattle Police Officer Ian Birk while walking down the street carving on August 30. Since then, Rick Williams (right), John T.'s brother, has started a memorial totem pole project in Seattle. Look at those wonderful faces will ya!

On Thursday, March 17, Tillicum Wawa: Voices of the People, interviewed Connie Sue Martin and Rick Williams about the case but mostly about the memorial project. The project has brought many people throughout the city together and many officials, such as the mayor, are in support of this project. This was an amazing interview and I was dumbfounded at how something so positive could come out of something so tragic.
