I had a guest on this morning’s show. Michael Keefe is a local music journalist; he writes for such music webzines as PopMatters and MadeLoud. He also is the cd buyer and publicist for Annie Bloom’s books over in Multnomah Village.

Michael and I  compiled our top 10 albums of the year, and counted  them down on the show.

Michael Keefe’s list:
01 Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend (XL)
02 Duffy - Rockferry (Mercury)
03 Marillion - Happiness Is The Road (Intakt)
04 R.E.M. - Accelerate (Warner Bros.)
05 Brian Wilson - That Lucky Old Sun (Capitol)
06 Sparks - Exotic Creatures Of The Deep (Lil’ Beethoven)
07 Martha Wainwright - I Know You’re Married, But I’ve Got Feelings Too (Shock)
08 David Byrne and Brian Eno - Everything That Happens Will Happen Today (self)
09 Lykke Li - Youth Novels (LL)
10 James - Hey Ma (Mercury)

JBJ’s list:
01 Kelley Stoltz - Circular Sounds (Sub Pop)
02 Cat Power - Jukebox (Matador)
03 Kaki King - Dreaming Of Revenge (Velour)
04 Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago (Jagjaguar)
05 Deerhoof - Offend Maggie (Kill Rock Stars)
06 Kathleen Edwards - Asking For Flowers (Zoe)
07 TV On The Radio - Dear Science (Interscope / 4AD)
08 Rachel Taylor Brown - Half Hours With The Lower Creatures (Cutthroat Pop)
09 R.E.M. - Accelerate (Warner Bros)

I love listening to Anodyne before I do my Folk Espresso show! Thanks.

Jack - thanks!

I am just now finding all these comments that people have left for me.

I wanted to thank you for leaving your top 10 lists for me to read.

I miss being the show leading up to your Folk Espresso, but believe me when I tell you that I am getting more sleep now!

Hope to see you one of these days,
