A Different Nature
MUSIQUE CONCR[\]ETE: FRANCIS DHOMONT is a French composer who, along with Pierre Henry and Pierre Schaeffer, was one of the early founder/discoverers of the genre. By the mid-60s he was dedicating his time to electroacoustic composition utilising taped recordings of natural or “found” sounds and exploring morphological interplay and the ambiguities between sound and the images it may create. He also taught at the Universite de Montreal and was a founding member of the Canadian Electroacoustic Community.
