Join Virginia Furr for an exploration of the music of Dagmar Krause
Dagmar Krause is a German singer, mainly known for her work in the 1970s-80s with avant-rock groups Slapp Happy, Henry Cow, and Art Bears. More recently she has covered the music of Bertolt Brecht, Kurt Weil, and Hanns Eisler.

Krause's distinctive voice has been called "Armegeddon style" and can be an acquired taste.  In a review of Henry Cow's 40th anniversary box set, critic John Kellman from All about Jazz wrote that "the kinds of intervallic leaps and harmonic sophistication required of a singer (in Henry Cow) make Krause and undervalued and underrated singer in this history of modern music".
