The Portland branch of Socialist Alternatives hosted what was billed as a Rent Control Town Hall meeting at First Congregational Church in downtown Portland last night.

Activists, public servants, civil rights organizers, and concerned citizens all came to discuss the serious issue of rising rent costs and gentrification that is reshaping Portland.

KBOO’s Ethan Martin spoke earlier today with previous Mayoral candidate Nick Caleb about the evening’s discussion.
