Dear Listeners,

Did you catch the lyrics to David Wilcox's song and story:  Start With the Ending?  Cute, eh??  Good advice, too...

I enjoyed bringing you some fun music this morning--including a "radio" set, a "coffee" set, a couple of "rain" songs, and a tribute to roses, honoring our beautiful, albeit soggy, city of Portland!

Yours,

Diane

Tonight's show was one of the most fun, creative and inspirational "Paula's Picks" yet! There was great music, but also AMAZING poets who were local, established and generous with their time and art.

Four poets joined us for a "Poets' Roundtable", which I hope to make a monthly series to showcase a slice of the local poetry scene. Each poet shared a few poems, some reflections and insights on poetry and their lives as poets and left us in awe!

Pastures of Plenty- Contemporary and Traditional Folk Music to get you thinking and start your day with a smile

Host: Jack Bohl (First Wednesdays of the month)

June 2: Special guest and fellow Pastures of Plenty host Bill Murlin joined me to play songs that inspired his 50 plus year (and counting) career in folk music, featuring the Kingston Trio, the Chad Mitchell Trio, the Easy Riders (featuring Terry Gilkyson, Eliza's Dad), Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. We also played Bill's contemporary versions of his favorites performed by the Wanderers, which are Bill and his singing partner of 50 plus years Carl Allen. It was great fun and we barely got into the great old songs we wanted to play. To be continued...
