City Repair’s 10th Annual VilageBuildingConvergence will be taking place from May 28th till June 6th in Portland, OR. Everyone is invite to participate for in the 31 community placemaking sites that will be in creation all across the city and beyond. Learn about cob and natural building, permaculture, public art, and much more as you help bring these communities projects from an idea into a reality!

KBOO's own Walt Curtis, one of the hosts of Talking Earth, needs your help and support. Walt is an amazing part of the KBOO Community and Portland, OR.

Walt lost nearly everything, including writings and artwork in a recent fire at the Great Northwest Bookstore in Lair Hill.

Many first came to know Walt from Gus Van Sant's movie "Mala Noche" which is based on a book written by the poet in 1977. Other's have gotten to known him through his show on KBOO, "Talking Earth" which is also hosted by another poet Barbara LaMorticella.

Remember folks if you have an unwated car, boat or other vehicle that you don't want, you can donate it to KBOO Community Radio and help raise funds to support the programs that you love.

It's easy to do and can really help out the station and you can get a tax deduction out of it. Also it doesn't matter what state the car is in, we just got a car donated from Minnesota.
