An art and activism project stopped in Portland today on their way to Washington DC to get funding for the unfinished cleanup of the Gulf Coast.
Nearly five years after hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and the surrounding area, many spots remain contaminated with lead and other pollutants.
A group of artists are collecting hand-drawn hundred dollar bills from around the country, which they plan to exchange in DC for real funding from the Congress.
The action is called the ‘Fundred Project’, after the hand-drawn hundred dollar bills they create.
