The Corvallis Gay Pride Festival will take place in Central Park (650 SW Monroe Ave) in Downtown Corvallis on Saturday September 29 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.
The festival was organically organized by a group of trans women, including Dharma. Dharma is a community advocate and educator in the Willamette Valley. She’s the Founder of the Haus of Dharma which has become Corvallis’s biggest drag family, doing 1-2 monthly events in the Valley.
We’re very excited about the first city-sponsored gender re-affirming clothing program having a booth. They will be accepting clothing there at the festival, so bring fabulous fashions to donate!
Entertainment will be happening all day, including live DJs who are queer, local bands, a drag show and drag story time for children.
The Valley Aids Information Network in conjunction with the Benton County Health Department will provide free and confidential rapid HIV and Syphilis testing with participants getting results within 10 minutes.
Scheduled vendors include local queer and trans artisans, SOL - an organization that focuses on Queer/Trans People of Color (QTPOC), and the Pride Center (both connected with Oregon State University), will be present.
Interested vendors and volunteers can contact festival organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org up to the festival date to participate. Vendor tables are free of charge!
The event will be substance and alcohol free.
