Black Man in a White Coat by Dr. Damon Tweedy

Black Man in a White Coat examines the complex ways in which both black doctors and patients must navigate the difficult and often contradictory terrain of race and medicine. As Tweedy transforms from student to practicing physician, he discovers how often race influences his encounters with patients. Through their stories, he illustrates the complex social, cultural, and economic factors at the root of most health problems in the black community. These issues take on greater meaning when Tweedy is himself diagnosed with a chronic disease far more common among black people.

Ubu Hour Oct 2015
Tonight on the UBU HOUR:

With Columbus Day only one week away, we celebrate and honor Christopher Columbus, the great explorer who discovered America. BIG MAN LITTLE WORLD is a loving tribute to this historical figure.

As if there hasn't been enough said about a certain Presidential Candidate, UBU brings you, ALL TRUMP ALL THE TIME, a delightful look at the Republican Presidential front-runner who has captured the hearts of the corporate broadcast media.

And A PLAGUE OF WORDS, a strange disease that gets carried by the soundwaves of words.. a strange surreal trip into a dystopic future...

And much much more... on the UBU Radio Theater Hour.
