Listeners on the web
The Lecture Room is not an actual on-the-air radio program. Nevertheless, it is still pretty good.
First off, a big "THANK YOU!"/ "GRACIAS" for supporting KBOO by listening and becoming a member!
I was born and raised in Oregon listening to music that was all around me. My parents were hard workers but they also loved to have a good time. Thus, we always had music around us. I developed a passion for Tejano/Conjunto music back when I was a teenager. Asa KBOO programmer, I want to share that passion with the KBOO listeners and have them experience the joy that it brings me.
Please don't hesitate to contact me during the show or via this website. I would love to hear from you!
[IMAGE TRANSLATION: This photo cracks me up every time! Is the creator dyslexic or really wishing Obama eternal peace and well being? It could be an alien crop circle noting the evolution and involution of the universe; or maybe somebody's insinuating that Obama belongs to the Order of the templars. The only secret society I know he was approved by was the Bilderbergers, so there's no surprise there!]
Development professional with more than 20 years non-profit fundraising, marketing and communications experience with a passion for independent community radio. Happily living in St. Johns, creating an urban farm and food forest - sharing my bounty with neighbors. Love to tell tales from my past as a storyteller with Portland Story Theater.
I founded and co-hosted Gender Blender, contributed to Out Loud and was an environmental reporter for KBOO evening news.
