Tonight at 9 pm is Video Gong Show, in conjunction with Film Action, at The Woods located at 6637 Milwaukie Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97202.
All filmmakers, watchers & critics are welcome to join in for a healthy dose of competition & humility.
There will be a screening of films of all kinds, quality & production value by a panel of celebrity judges and jeered by a jury of your peers (all in good fun).

Tomorrow night at 7 pm, join the Cascade Blues Association, for its monthly general membership meeting, at the Melody Ballroom, located at 615 SE Alder Street in Portland.
Pete Gallatin will perform the opening acoustic set, while Vicki Stevens Band will perform the second electric set. All ages are welcome.

And tomorrow night at 8 pm, be ready to share and/or hear “everything from music and poetry to monologues” at the weekly open mic at the Alberta Street Pub, located at 1036 NE Alberta Street in Portland. Hosted by Tamara J. Brown, this 21 and over event has a sign-up at 7:30 pm sharp.

Coming up next Tuesday, September 7th at 6 pm, enjoy an opening reception For the Love of Food: featuring Anne Greenwood, Helen Hiebert, Diane Jacobs, and Shu-Ju Wang, curated by Shu-Ju Wang, in the main gallery and the Celebrate Hillsboro Community Mural in the lower exhibition space, at the Walters Cultural Arts Center located at 527 E Main Street in Hillsboro.
At the reception, Geoff Metts of Western Arial will play slide guitar in the lobby during this event.
Please bring a canned food donation as the WCAC is holding an Oregon Food Bank food drive during September, in conjunction with this exhibit.
