Attend the Free Survival Course s, held Saturdays from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm until July 24th at the Waypost, located at 3120 N. Williams Ave in Portland. The courses address what we can do if we do not have our trusty pocket knife or lighter with us and need to build shelter or find food and water. There are also roundtable discussions about what you would like to learn regarding survival and who might help do so. Some areas of interest might include learning about edible plants, lighting a fire without a match, city survival field trips, and wilderness survival skills. What would you like to learn about survival? What could you teach? The survival course will include field trips in Portland and surrounding environments, and will be absolutely free.
