Mental Health Issues vs Police
The recent police killing of Jackie Collins at the Hoyt Arboretum has brought to the surface difficult issues surrounding mental health crises and the portland police.
Don Moore, the past president of the Multnomah branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, believes that we are asking police in the city to take on too much, and that what is really lacking is a safety net for people with mental health issues.
