OLCC Officer Stolen Identity
Last week, a license investigator with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission was revealed to be using a stolen identity.
The man, now identified in court records as John Doe, had been using the name Jason Evers since 1996.
The real Jason Evers was the victim of a murder in Ohio in 1982. His killer is behind bars.
Questions have already arisen about how this man was hired by the O-L-C-C and worked there for seven years without arousing suspicion.

The O-L-C-C’s background check on Jason Evers did not find anything unusual, but Passport Officials checking his passport application against death certificates and noticed the discrepancy.
As a license investigator, the man known as Jason Evers had access to personal information on Licensees, but Christie Scott said that at this time, the O-L-C-C has no reports that their information has been compromised.
She said that the O-L-C-C is reviewing his files as a precaution, and thinking about what other changes may be appropriate.
