Irreverent and nasty, sexy and hilarious, Mark Henry's Battle of the Network Zombies (Kensington) treats readers to more outrageously campy urban fantasy courtesy of Amanda Feral, Seattle's most glamorous zombie. In Jaye Wells's The Mage in Black (Orbit), Sabina Kane — whose grandmother, the leader of the vampire race, just tried to kill her — arrives in New York to meet the mage side of her family, a reunion that takes the "fun" out of dysfunctional.

Also tomorrow night at 8 pm, be ready to share and/or hear “everything from music and poetry to monologues” at the weekly open mic at the Alberta Street Pub, located at 1036 NE Alberta Street in Portland. Hosted by Tamara J. Brown, this 21 and over event has a sign-up at 7:30 pm sharp.

Coming up on Tuesday, April 6th at 6 pm, enjoy the opening reception for the sixth annual HYAC Youth Art Exhibition at Walters Cultural Arts Center 527 E Main Street Hillsboro, OR 97124.

Come revel in the young talent of Hillsboro as the Cultural Arts Center and the Mayor's Hillsboro Youth Advisory Council present the sixth annual HYAC Youth Art Exhibition. The exhibition is the result of an art contest open to all Hillsboro area high school age youth working in 2D and 3D media, as well as photography.
On Wednesday, April 7th at 7 pm, join the Cascade Blues Association, for its monthly general membership meeting, at the Melody Ballroom, located at 615 SE Alder Street in Portland.
Robert Richter will perform the opening acoustic set, while the Broh-Taylor Blues Band will perform the second electric set. All ages are welcome.
