n Clackamas there is a Rally to Keep Nestle Out of the Gorge. Join other activists from Bark and other national and local groups to deliver 3,000 petitions to Roy Elicker, Director of the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, asking him not to move forward with the water rights exchange that would pave the way for Nestle's proposed water bottling facility. ODFW is considering exchanging part of its water right to the spring water with the city of Cascade Locks so the city could then sell the spring water to Nestle. More information can be found at the Food & Water Watch website: fwwatch DOT org or call Julia at 503/241.6556

Another event to watch out for today is the Reverend Jesse Jackson's return to Portland to speak to members of the Albina Ministerial Alliance and to establish a Portland chapter of the Martin Luther King-inspired Rainbow PUSH Coalition. This is the second time in two months that Jackson is visiting Portland, spurred on by community members' outrage at the recent Police Shootings of Campbell and Collins.

All March, we feature "Mythic Play" by Wayne Bund.  These photographs play with the dynamics of character, narative and landscape. Using costumes, timers, and remote-control mechanisms, Wayne Bund created each of these images alone, without the help of an assistant.  Bund was born and raised on a farm in Boring, OR. He currently is an MFA cadidate in the Visual Studies program at Pacific Northwest College of Art
