At 7pm tonight, the Multnomah Friends Meetinghouse invites you to attend "Afghanistan: Effects of War on the People and the Land", a report back and talk by biologist and independent journalist Dana Visalli (who was interviewed earlier on KBOO's Air Cascadia), a botanist and naturalist with a science-based orientation, focusing on the impact of modern warfare on human society and on the natural world.  The talk will include the stories and faces of the Afghan people that we meet, the conditions of Afghan women and children, current perspectives on the war there, and the state of the natural environment.  A potluck dinner begins at 6pm.  Multnomah Friends is located at 4312 SE Stark St. in Portland
