Greetings Cascadia! My name is Steve, and this is the KBOO Community Calendar for Wednesday, July Eighth, 2009.

Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking three county volunteers interested in representing primary care or behavioral health service recipients on the County's Community Health Council.    The Council serves as a policy development committee to the Community Health Division, and duties include reviewing and recommending programs and service priorities.  The council meets monthly from 6 till 7:30 PM on the Third Wednesday of the month.  Interested individuals must complete an online application form.  Visit the KBOO web site for a link to the application formThe application deadline is Monday, July 13th.  Women and Minorities are encouraged to apply.

Portland Parks and Recreation start their Summer Concerts in the Park all across the city this week.  See the KBOO Web Site for a link to the 2009 Concert Schedule.  Tonight's concert is at Willamette Park at, 6:30 PM (SW Macadam & Nebraska, south picnic area).  Come and watch Reggie Houston's C'Ex All Stars play some red-hot New Orleans Jazz.  There will be Hands-on art activities for children beginning at 6:00 PM.  That's tonight, and every Wednesday in July, at Wilamette Park.

Are you interested in Local Food Policy?  The Portland/Multnomah Food Policy Council meets the Second Wednesday of each month from 4:00 till 6:00 PM.
