The Social and Environmental Justice Club presents “Where do we stand Neoliberal Globalization, the WTO and the U.S., 10 Years Later", celebrating the tenth year anniversary of the World Trade Organization Protests in Seattle. The event will be held TONIGHT, from 6-9 pm at the Firstenburg Commons on the campus of Washington State University, located at 14204 NE Salmon Creek Avenue in Vancouver, Washington. There will be community members and “Battle in Seattle” survivors speaking, along with films related to Globalization and WTO protests.  This even is free and open to the public with Free Fair Trade coffee and local foods! Anti-police brutality activist, Helen Sherman, will speak on the disproportionate number of youth of color caught up in the juvenile justice system. This meeting will be held TONIGHT, 7:00pm at the Bread & Roses Center, located 819 N. Killingsworth St., Portland (on Tri-Met lines #4 and #72). Stewardship Saturdays are held at the Nature Center at Tryon Creek State Park every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 9:00am to 12 noon. This Saturday, December 12th will be the removal of invasive English ivy, which out-competes our native plants, takes over the forest floor, shades out trees and ruins precious habitat. [Registration is not required, but anyone under 18 must have a minor’s insurance form and be checked in by their parent.
