The goal of FundFest 2008 is to raise a total of $80,000 or $20,000 each for the four beneficiaries. "Pink Martini is approached every year by dozens of organizations to perform at fundraisers and events, which is difficult because we spend so much of the year on the road," says Pink Martini bandleader Thomas M. Lauderdale. "FundFest – which is four nights of fun and festive fundraising – is an opportunity for the band to raise money for four different organizations whose work we want to honor and support." FundFest is generously supported by McMenamins, Willamette Week and The Portland Mercury.
