 This is the second part of an hour long show in which Gender Blender hosts Rebecca Nay and Jacob Anderson-Minshall offer a tribute to Thursday’s Transgender Day Of Remembrance by addressing gender based violence. 

In the second half of the show:  Joining the discussion by phone is Richard Juang Northeastern University Law School in Boston.  Richard, a genderqueer-identified Taiwanese-American, co-edited Transgender Rights and co- authored the National Center of Transgender Equality’s Responding to Hate Crimes.

In an earlier recorded interview, Rebecca and Jacob also spoke with Reid Vanderburgh—a transgender therapist and author of the Lambda Literary Award nominated Transition and Beyond, Observations On Gender Identity –about the Thursday night events in Portland, Oregon honoring the Day of Remembrance.

Portland’s Remembering Our Dead vigil is Thursday (November 20) 6:30 pm-7:30 pm at SW Park & Montgomery, featuring Reid Vanderburgh, Laura Calvo and Jenn Burleton.
