Environmental activist Tre Arrow was sentenced today in a Portland courtroom.

Arrow was charged with burning a number of cement and logging trucks in North West oregon.

These actions took place in 2001, and were claimed as acts of protest by the radical environmental group, the Earth Liberation Front.

Arrow was extradited from Canada to Portland, Oregon in February of this year to face 14 counts of arson and conspiracy.

On June 3rd, Arrow entered into a non-cooperation agreement, in which he plead guilty to 2 counts of arson.

Today, he was sentenced to 78 months in prison, with credit given for having already served 48 of those months in Canada.

He said in front of the court that he would never stop fighting for the planet earth.

Outside the court room, Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Peifer spoke to the press.

One of Tre’s Lawyers, Bruce Ellis, also spoke to the press.

Tre Arrow will be released from prison in two and a half years.
