Labor leaders assess the way forward under Trump
Suzanne Cohen, president of the 4,000 member Portland Association of Teachers and Steve Demarest, president of the 55,000 member Service Employees International Union, local 503, will assess the Trump election, its likely impact on working people, their unions and especially their most marginalized members: immigrants, people of color, women, LGBTQ and disabled workers. As spontaneous protests sweep the country, Cohen and Demarest will discuss how labor unions can fight back.
