Joe Clement presents the Well-read Red. Strikes are one of the fundamental weapons of the working-class for effecting social change. The material power workers have in the workplace, their ability to grind things to a halt, is useful for forcing bosses and the state alike. Joe considers how recent strikes have been used and are in use challenging the state's total invasion of women's reproductive rights in Poland, and the technically legal but no less outrageously immoral use of slave labor in the prison-industrial complex.
