Nuclear Power Resurgence? / 2004 OH Election Theft
12/19/07
A double header today. First a look at the (domestic) nuclear power industry, long thought dead, but poised for a possible resurgence thanks to congressional actions and the fear of climate change and global warming. But is it appropriate? That's what Michael Mariotte, Executive Director of the Nuclear Information & Resource Service, and I will discuss in the first half.
Then Bob Fitrakis from Free Press will join to discuss a report (pdf) released last Friday by Ohio's Secretary of State which confirmed the presence of "critical security failures” in Ohio's 2004 election. This has led the Secretary to call for a ban on touch-screen voting machines. And just yesterday Colorado's Secretary of State called into question the reliability and accuracy of most of their electronic voting machines.
