Kinder Gill and Navi Kang of Open Tandoor and chef Dan Barber, author of Third Plate

At the end of this month Open Tandoor, an Indian restaurant run by Kinder Gill and Navi Kang, will open on North Williams. I talk with Kinder and Navi about the restaurant, the use of the tandoor oven, and what makes great Indian food.

Also, I have a rebroadcast of an interview I had with chef Dan Barber, author of Third Plate, nearly two years ago. He talks about the book and the change Americans need to make to create a truly sustainable food system.

As always, we'll have gardening help from Marisha Auerbach. This month she'll talk with us about saving seed and surviving the heat. Enjoy!
