Solidarity with City Temps & Colombian Injured Workers
One third of Portland City workers are "temps", with low pay, minimal benefits and no job security. Hear testimony from temporary and seasonal workers at a recent Workers Rights Board hearing.
In the second half of the show, host John Walsh interviews Jorge Parra, leader of Colombian GM workers who have been injured on the job and summarily fired. After a year's encampment outside the US Embassy, Parra is in the US seeking solidarity in their struggle for just compensation.
