Miho Aida on her film "Gwich'in women speak"

This week we talk with Filmmaker and Teacher Miho Aida about her film "Sacred place where life begins: Gwich'in women speak".

"This is a super grassroots / low-budget film that I directed and produced myself. The 20 minutes short film shares a voice of Arctic indigenous Gwich'in women who inspire audience around the country to action to protect their sacred land from oil drilling within our public land - Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. I have been working with the nation since 2010, and helping to channel their voice here on the West Coast. I pledge to collect 10,000 signatures on a petition to our Congress and President Obama on my bicycle film tour."

NAYA will screen the film on June 25. Here is the info for that event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1491818324384432/
