06/11 Rose Festival Anti-Tank blockade
Several portland area anti-war groups banded together on saturday morning to protest the glorification of war during the rose festival parade.
This year’s Rose Festival parade contained a world war II tank, the first time a tank was paraded in Portland since 1941.
Their intent was to recognize the human cost of our participation in war.
KBOO spoke with Martha Odom, a member of the Surge Protection Brigades.
