Slippery Business
‘Name That Law’: The Reality Show rolls out  ‘The Federal Lands Jobs and Energy Security Act’ or ‘Chuckie’, if you prefer..Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO),  (And the American Legislative Council held his dick for him while he spoke (That’s why they call it ‘dick-tate???)  legislation hands  oil and gas companies carte blanche to drill on public lands. If signed into law, the legislation would automatically approve onshore drilling permits if the U.S. Department of Interior (DOI) failed to act on them in 60 days.
And if you don’t like it, you can cough up $5,000 which buys you a permit to protest.

It paves! It clears! It Cuts! – But Wait, there’s more!  Lamborn's proposed bill would direct the DOI to begin commercial leasing for the development of oil shale, a controversial type of production that has been largely banned by the United States since President Herbert Hoover prohibited the leasing of federal lands for oil shale. Oil shale - which should not be confused with the more common "shale oil" - is a type of rock that needs to be heated to nearly 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit to produce crude oil, which then has to be refined.

Spooky Business
Gary Ruskin, Director of the Center for Corporate Policy, Ruskin wrote the just-released report "Spooky Business: Corporate Espionage Against Nonprofit Organizations" for the group Essential Information. Turns out that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Walmart, Monsanto, Bank of America, Dow Chemical, Kraft, Coca-Cola, Chevron, Burger King, McDonald’s, Shell, BP, BAE, Sasol, Brown & Williamson and E.ON -- have been linked to espionage or planned espionage against nonprofit organizations, activists and whistleblowers.
Ruskin:
"Giant corporations are employing highly unethical or illegal tools of espionage against nonprofit organizations with near impunity. Our report documents how corporations hire shady investigative firms staffed with former employees of the Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, U.S. military, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Secret Service and local police departments to target nonprofit organizations.”
