Predictably, an onslaught of regressive legislation has ensued -- against women, against minorities, against the environment, against voting rights. Even against efficient lightbulbs.
What's up here? What's behind this need to make sure everyone knows his -- or more to the point, her -- place? It's that sad old chorus, the scared white dudes. With Joe on vacation, Abe looks listens to the plaintive distress call of the endangered patriarch.
