Laurie Mercier hosts this first Old Mole of the year and we hear:

  • Laurie Mercier talks with Stefanie Penn Spear from Eco Watch about the top environmental stories of 2012 and how to mobilize to save the planet in 2013. They’ll review David McNally's Monsters of the Market: Zombies, Vampires, and Global Capitalism.
  • Movie Moles Frann Michel and Denise Morris, will offer a feminist analysis of the Newtown shooting, and the larger issue of gun violence, beginning with a discussion of Michael Moore's film Bowling for Columbine.
