Pacifica Radio journalist and Flashpoints host Dennis Bernstein reads from his new collection of poetry - Special Ed: Voices from a Hidden Classroom - drawn from his experiences as a special education teacher in an inner city New York public school.

Bernstein, who struggled with his own special needs as a child, has produced a book of poetry that Alice Walker has called "art turned to us through the eyes of love." In addition to readings from the book, Bernstein will share stories about being an investigative reporter and will be signing books after the presentation.
