Hunger in the Black Community! Real Talk for Real People!

Hunger is a reality for far too many community members, including our families and elderly. This is especially true in communities of colour, including the Black Communities in Oregon.

What can WE do about this ever-increasing epidemic?

Tonight, join The Eavesdrop hosts Nia & Paula, as they welcome their guests Registered Dietitian, Dr. Joyce Dougherty and Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon's Executive Director, Patti Whitney-Wise.

Patti Whitney-Wise's leadership of the Oregon Hunger Relief Task Force in 2005 resulted in Oregon being the only state to reduce hunger.

Listen as our special guests debunk the myths surrounding food and hunger in the Black Community, as well as share proactive steps the PHFO is taking to combat hunger state-wide in Oregon.

Then, call (503) 231-8187 to join in the conversation, by asking questions or sharing how YOU will act to end hunger.
