Stories from the Streets & Ernest Bloch feature

On Jan. 18th at 11am, Dmae Roberts presents "Stories From The Streets"-readings by Lunacy Stageworks & Streetroots newspaper as part of continued coverage on the Fertile Ground Festival. Producer Tali Singer also offers an artistic feature story on the the life, music and photographs of Oregon Composer Ernest Bloch  the Oregon Jewish Museum

In the first part Stage and Studio, Dmae talks with Julie McCurdy & Israel Bayer of Street Roots newspaper and Ann Singer of Lunacy Stageworks about their collaboration on personal stories and writing created by homeless people The readings are presented Jan. 28th & 29th at the Sellwood Masonic Lodge in Portland.   

And in the latter part of the show, Producer Tali Singer presents a feature about famed composer Ernest Bloch whose photographs are being showcased at the Oregon Jewish Museum as well as a concert of Bloch's work by Third Angle Ensemble on Jan. 26, 27 and 30 at the museum. We'll hear from Ernie Bloch, the grandson of Ernest Bloch as well as Curator Eric Johnson, Museum Director Judith Margles and Ron Blessinger of Third Angle.
