"Rebecca Gates was a founding member of The Spinanes. The band released 3 albums on Sub Pop Records from 1993-1998. In 2001 she released Ruby Series under her own name. Since that time she has appeared on records by The Mekons, The Decemberists, The Minus Five and Willie Nelson + see discography. She is in the process of completing a new album and when allowed onstage is currently enjoying the fine company of a top notch combo, the Consortium, which may feature any and all of : Ji Tanzer (Blue Cranes), Rebecca Cole (Hungry Holler, The Minders), Joanna Bolme (The Jicks, Quasi), Nate Query (The Decemberists, Black Prairie), Dave Depper (Loch Lomond, Blue Giant)…."
