The Portland Rose Festival is blooming this weekend, with the Fun Run taking place on Saturday evening at Lincoln High School, and the Starlight Parade sparkling the city on Saturday night.

Do you have a story to share about memories in one of Portland’s distinct neighborhood’s?
NW Documentary is hosting “Neighborhood Diaries Day” on Sunday, from 12-6 pm.
Portland artist Abe Ingles is creating free “walking-tour” podcasts that guide listeners through neighborhoods, along with histories that make up these surroundings.
This free event is open to the public, and you are invited to record a story and receive a complimentary CD of your recording.

The Portland/Vancouver Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America presents the “Come as You Are” Musical on Sunday at 6pm, featuring music, dance, and other arts performers. The event is free, with donations accepted, and will be held at the Bethesda Christian Church at 109 N. Emerson. It’s OK to dress in your Sunday best or in jeans and a t-shirt, as this is a place where “Everybody is Somebody”…
