Students, Teachers and Parents fight to keep LEP High open
Students at LEP (Leap) High School in Portland have been fighting to keep their school open, after the school’s Charter was revoked by the school board on Monday.
School administrators say the numbers presented by the Board were outdated, and a recent fundraising campaign has helped reduce a deficit of tens of thousands of dollars at the school.
Students and teachers have vowed to keep fighting, although the avenues for keep the school open next year are now slim to none, after the charter was revoked this week.
