The Oregon Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is holding a series of walks in April. These events are expected to raise awareness and support for the nearly 7,000 people living with MS throughout the region. More information on dates and locations are listed at www.walkMSoregon.com.
In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the National Radio Project and Making Contact invite you to a live recording session on “Green Jobs, Race, and the Economic Recovery”. The session will take place on Saturday 4-6pm at the Center for Intercultural Organizing at 700 N. Killingsworth Street. Sliding scale donations are requested. On Saturday, April 4th, the PDX Peace Coalition presents Change, Not War, including a public reading of Dr. Martin Luther King's speech titled "Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence". Participants will meet at 2pm in the South Park Blocks and march through downtown Portland. Afterwards, the group will perform the reading of Dr. King's Speech.
