“Beyond Green Jobs: the Next American Economy”

Van Jones, environmental advocate, civil rights activist, and attorney, is a co-founder of three non-profit organizations. In 1996, he founded the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights which works for alternatives to violence. In 2005, he co-founded Color of Change, an advocacy group for African Americans. In 2007, he founded Green for All. His first book is "The Green Collar Economy."

He spoke on "Beyond Green Jobs" in Portland on January 25th at the University of Oregon. His talk was sponsored by the Oregon Humanities Center at the University of Oregon.
