Novelist Martha Shelley speaks with host Paul O'Brien about her latest book
Martha Shelley is the author of the new novel The Throne in the Heart of the Sea. Martha was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in a progressive jewish home. A political activist since the late 1960s, she participated in the Women's Press Collective and was one of the founders of New York's Gay Liberation Front. She has written numerous essays, short stories and poems. Her most recent book of poetry is "Haggadah: A Celebration of Freedom." She lives in Portland.
