Holiday shopping plus giving to the oregon food bank equals tons ‘o fun. The GIVE Handmade Sale is a unique gifting experience as well as a fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank. 10% of artists’ sales will go to the Oregon Food bank. This event will happen November 28 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the beautifully renovated, Left Bank Annex, located at 101 N Wiedler, in Portland, OR. All ages and free admission. Food Not Bombs shares free vegan and vegetarian meals with the hungry.  They share meals on Saturday and Sunday in the North Park Blocks at west Burnside and Park.  All meals start at 5:30pm

This Saturday Pivot will be giving free rapid HIV and STD testing for guys into guys.  All testing is Walk-in and done on a first come first serve basis.  The testing is done every saturday from 5pm to 9pm and is located at 209 SW 4th Portland, Oregon. For more information go to pivot pdx dpt org.

Make your own gifts this year with artist Colleen Cavin. Using decorative papers, create German-bell ornaments, origami boxes, small secret envelopes, woven hearts, and other small projects that will make perfect presents.   The  Pretty Little Folded Paper Trinkets will be this Saturday, November 27, from  11 a.m.–1 p.m. At North Portland Library located at 512 north Killingsworth, Portland Oregon. And next Saturday, December 4, from 2–4 p.m at  Albina Library at 3605 north east 15th avenue Portland Oregon

Coming up this Monday the Central Library in downtown Portland will be having the Closing Ceremony for the Tibetan Sand Mandala.  The sand mandala is blessed by the monks, and then destroyed as the sands are swept to the center. Music, chanting and prayer will accompany the destruction. The remaining sand will be carried in a procession to the Willamette River.  The closing ceremony will be at the 3rd floor of the Central Library located at 801 south west 10th avenue, Portland oregon. Monday, November 29, noon–1 p.m.
